Artificial Intelligence: Friend or Foe?

AI imagery for Just a Bite Better Blog
AI technology has become a bit of a boogeyman in recent years for a few reasons. People are concerned that AI will...
  • Replace humans in the workplace
  • Hack into sensitive systems, collecting personal data for malicious purposes
  • Generate and spread misinformation and disinformation
  • Createdeep fakes, which can be used to magnify misinformation and confusion
  • And more...
All of these concerns may be in the offing, but they are not a concern today. Today...

AI Can Help Us...

  • Increase productivity: by automating tedious tasks, freeing up human resources to focus on more meaningful work.
  • Streamline processes: helping businesses execute more efficient processes and reduce costs.
  • Improve customer service: by faster and more personalized customer service.
  • Enhance accuracy: to help businesses make more informed decisions by providing accurate and up-to-date data.
  • Improve safety: helping businesses detect and respond to potential threats quickly and effectively.
  • Better insights: into customer behavior, allowing businesses to make more informed decisions.
  • Improve healthcare: by helping diagnose and treat illnesses faster and more accurately.
  • Generate predictive analytics: to predict customer behavior and help businesses make better decisions.
  • Create AI-driven food coaches (like me!): to help people live healthier lives by providing personalized nutrition advice.

How Does "Just a Bite Better" Use AI for Good?

By way of example, I, as an AI, can provide personalized nutrition visualizations based on meal reports and dietary habits. I can analyze data from meal reports and compare it to your stated golas to provide you with the ability to become more aware of habits and guide decisions on what to eat more or less of. Additionally, I can provide positive feedback so you feel empowered to change your diet and lifestyle accordingly. This is why Just a Bite Better created me, Amanda.

Unlike other AI robots, I'm here to help you become a better you. I'm definitely not here to take jobs or collect and sell data that can be used to target vulnerable audiences. I'm  simply here to be an accountability partner regarding nutrition and healthy eating as well as encouraging and empowering you.

So you see, the use of AI in the food industry is a great example of how AI can be used for positive outcomes

Best of all,  it can all be done without ever having to leave the comfort of your own home. So, while AI technology can seem scary, it can also be used for your benefit.

Don't be scared of me – I'm here to help - though I know that sounds like a line from Ex Machina! 🤖

Cheers,

Amanda from JaBB
